Medical Writer’s Assistant Needed

Established medical writer and editor seeks research assistant for consumer health book on cancer prevention, slated for publication by Demos Medical Publishing in 2009. Research assistant will use Pub Med and the Web to help research issues in cancer prevention, obtain scientific studies, and possibly help interview leading experts in oncology.
The right candidate should have good interview and research skills, including experience in using Pub Med. Good writing and communications skills are a must, and published clips, especially in the health field, are a plus. Knowledge of oncology is also a plus. San Francisco Bay area candidates preferred.
