The Trend Of Baby Boomers Going Back To School

501 Ways for Adult Students to Pay for College: Going Back to School Without Going Broke

We baby boomers are used to sitting in a classroom. Many of us have degrees from colleges and universities. We attended classes for twelve, sixteen or many more years to receive the education necessary for success in the work force.

But, we haven’t been in a classroom for decades.

Now, with so many of us retiring, we have both the time and the inclination to, once again, become part of full-time students.

Once individual, Leigh Hoes, is doing just that, and has enrolled at Richland College in Dallas, Texas. Thinking that a health care career had always appealed to her, the job was fairly recession-proof, and she could train for it in just one year, Ms. Hoes enrolled in one of Richland’s health professions certificate programs.

This is her story.

Way to go Leigh, we certainly applaud your efforts.
