The battle for the Democratic nomination in the U.S. Presidential election may well be a struggle for power between Gen-X-ers and the Baby Boomers. With Hillary appealing to the baby boomers, particularly females, Barack Obama is seen as appealing to the younger crowd.
Generation X-ers mostly identify themselves as pragmatic, progressive and sharing common values. Aged between 30 and 47, they tend to be the children of baby boomers.
