Baltimore Reads, Inc. is a non-profit organization providing adult literacy services to Baltimore City residents.
We seek a contractual Grant Writer to prepare proposals for government, foundations and other donors and to research and identify new funding sources.
Candidates should have at least 3 years experience in successfully achieving funded grants for human services organizations.
You will:
* Develop and write concept papers and proposal templates for potential donors
* Write major grant proposals, ensuring compliance with submission guidelines.
* Conduct prospect research
* Monitor proposal deadlines
* Monitor Federal contracting opportunities
* Monitor foundation opportunities
* Conduct meetings with potential donors over the phone or in person.
General fundraising experience is helpful as is knowledge of Maryland based foundations and governmental funders
We prefer someone available to start ASAP.* Location: Baltimore, MD
* Compensation: hourly at market rate
* Telecommuting is ok.
* This is a part-time job.
