Website Content Writer, Part-Time, Contract
We’re a new company: www.whatitcosts.com
We’re looking for web content writers to write part-time on a contractual basis. Visit our website to see examples of what we’re looking for. We don’t care what a new HDTV costs, anyone can find that anywhere on the web, but try finding the cost of something like- “What does it cost to have a 75 foot tree removed from my backyard?” You won’t find that under a Google search! You’d have to call companies in your area and get quotes, many times from high pressure salespeople. This is what most people end up doing after a frustrating time on the web looking for ballpark estimates for what it will cost.
In addition, we have categories relating to adventure travel or topics that you don’t normally don’t come across on the web, such as “What it costs to take a submersible to see the Titanic” or “What it costs to become a Ninja”
The qualities in contract writers we’re most interested in are creative writing, humor, and the ability to research a cost-topic and organize
your research in a readable format.Unlike some Web companies that offer a percentage of (sometimes non-existent) ad revenue, we pay per content piece. If you sound like a a good candidate to us, we’ll send you a topic. We pay $50 per topic for the first 10 articles we accept, increasing to $100 per topic when we accept over 20 articles from you.
Worst case scenario: we select you as a potential writer, we send you a topic, you write 1-2 pages of content after researching it, it’s not a good match for what we’re looking for, we send you a thank you note and a check for $50.
Best case scenario: we select you as a potential writer, we send you a topic, you write 1-2 pages of content after researching it, we like it, we send you a check for $50 and a new topic to write, repeat (on an increasing sliding pay scale we’ll detail to you with your contract, up to $100 per article after 20th article is accepted)
Send us a writing sample or a paragraph about why you’d be good at this to:
admin@whatitcosts.com
Thanks,
The whatitcosts.com Team
