One of the biggest boomer schemes of all was the Big Dig, a brilliant plan to bury our traffic woes for just a few billion dollars. But the Big Dig was too big for small-time boomers to pull off, no matter how hard they congratulated themselves. The only thing spectacular about it in the end was the cost-overruns. |
