Retiring Baby Boomers Causing Concerns of Shortage

The Boomer Century 1946-2046: How America\'s Most Influential Generation Changed Everything

Eric Herzog, Ph.D., author of the book “Future Leaders,” sounds a wake-up call for the business world to open its eyes and see the problem of the retiring ranks of baby boomers. Companies will see their best and brightest and most experienced workers head off to golf courses while the businesses are left in a lurch, Herzog warns. The numbers are ominous. About 50 percent of all companies recently surveyed say they expect to lose the majority of their senior managers in the next three years, and 15 percent say they expect to lose three-quarters or more of their senior staff.
