Arlington County VA Rosslyn-Ballston corridor attracts baby boomers

Demographers say more and more boomers are moving to the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor, a three-mile stretch of dense development clustered around Metro stations. The area is attracting people who want to start over after a divorce or the death of a spouse or after their kids have grown up. Demographer Roberto Ruiz of Arlington’s planning office estimates that the number of residents ages 45 to 64 in the county has increased more than 34% since the 2000 Census.
